glossary definition:
mascara:

Mascara is a thickening agent applied to the eyelashes to increase the appearance of volume and length.

Usually applied with a brush, mascara is commonly available in dark brown or black color. (as with most cosmetics, bright colors and metallics can also be found)

Shelf life of mascara is typically quite short. You can tell when mascara has gone off if the neutral smell goes slightly sharp and acrid.
