An exfoliator is a product that aids in the removal of dead skin cells. Exfoliators can be inert (like a loofah, muslin cloth) or active (chemicals or abrasive agents in the product).

Care should be used when exfoliating the face. Use a gentle muslin cloth, never a loofah which may be good for the body but too rough for delicate skin.
